The NQSA Elite Youth Athlete System is designed for young people who love sport and want to develop their athletic ability in a safe, structured and supportive environment.
Rather than running generic gym classes, we take a long-term, individualised approach — helping each athlete build strong movement foundations, confidence, and physical resilience that supports their sport now and into the future.
This system is suitable for motivated youth athletes across a range of sports and experience levels.
START WITH AN ATHLETE ASSESSMENT (Book Separately)
Before joining the program, every athlete completes a 30-minute Athlete Assessment. This helps us understand how they move, where they are at physically, and how we can best support their development.
This process ensures training is appropriate, safe and targeted — and allows us to track progress over time.
CHOOSE A TRAINING FOCUS
Rather than placing athletes purely by age, we help them train in an area that best suits their needs and goals.
Training Focus could include:
- Speed & Agility – for quicker movement and change of direction
- Power – for jumping, explosiveness and speed off the mark
- Strength & Size – for building physical robustness
- Endurance – for athletes who run and repeat efforts
- Sport-Specific – tailored to the demands of their sport
This approach helps athletes feel engaged, confident and motivated, while giving parents clarity around what their child is working on. Places are limited in each focus area to maintain quality coaching and a supportive environment.
TRAIN THROUGH THE YEAR IN SEASONS
Our program runs in four training seasons across the year, similar to how athletes train in professional sport — but adapted for youth. Each season has a clear purpose, ensuring variety, progression and long-term development.
- Term 1 — Build: Learning to move well, building basic strength and control
- Term 2 — Develop: Progressing strength and refining technique
- Term 3 — Perform: Developing power, speed and athletic confidence
- Term 4 — Consolidate: Applying skills through agility, reaction and conditioning
Each season includes:
- A short education and goal-setting session
- Regular check-ins to track progress
This structure keeps training fresh and purposeful, while aligning naturally with school and sporting seasons.
ATHLETE TIERS — PROGRESS AT THE RIGHT PACE
Athletes are supported through three development tiers, which train together in the same sessions, with coaching adjusted to suit each individual.
- White Tier – learning the basics and building confidence
- Navy Tier – developing consistency, strength and control
- Teal Tier – demonstrating advanced movement, maturity and performance
Tier placement helps guide coaching, expectations and progression — it does not limit access to training.
Athletes move between tiers based on
- Effort,
- Consistency,
- Skill development, and
- Attitude.
This system encourages:
- Confidence without pressure
- Motivation through progress
- A positive, respectful training culture
All tiers include a personalised program and gym access
